Freedom Awards Gala

Freedom is rarely achieved without a struggle. The motivation and driving force required will vary from person to person, but the passion and courage behind the fight are common threads in their stories of success. Our 2025 Freedom Award recipients are all examples of how faith can carry us through fire. Flying in the open cockpit of a helicopter in a war zone, or walking through school hallways filled with hate and disdain, or being armed with a divine promise of protection facing an enemy bent on your destruction are situations not fit for the faint of heart. The 2025 Freedom Award recipients will join an impressive list of previous honorees who have made unique contributions to the cause of defending and promoting the traditional American values of God, family, freedom, and country.

Highlight, September

Hope of America 2025

Join with us May 5, 6, and 7 as a chorus of fifth graders and sixth graders combine to sing the songs of the Hope of America. Traditionally over 8,000 students gather from 100 different schools. They sit in the formation of the American Flag. Songs commemorating The Declaration of Independence, tributes to our Founding Fathers, songs of appreciation for first responders and the military, and songs reminding us how much we love America and the responsibility we have to be a light. We are excited to see you there.

Constitution Month Teacher Contest

During the month of September we celebrate the United State Constitution and in particular the signing by the founders of our nation of the Constitution on September 17th. The State of Utah has designated the month of September as “American Founders and Constitution Month.” We recognize the U. S. Constitution as the oldest written constitution in the world and one of our most important documents. We invite all teachers and schools to celebrate our founding document through decoration, display, and activities in both classrooms and schools helping young people to recognize the importance of the U. S. Constitution and the role it continues to play in all our lives.

Grand Parade

Join us on July 4 at 9am for the Grand Parade – the largest of its kind in the Western United States – celebrating God, freedom, family and Country with marching bands, professionally crafted floats, giant helium balloons, fun filled equestrian entries and local and national performers. We will honor the military and first responders with their entries in the parade. Entries will be given the unique challenge to promote patriotism and traditional family values to more than 350,000 spectators, through music, displays, dance, and other creative and meaningful expression. The entertainment parade will begin at 8am and the Grand Parade will begin at 9am. The Grand Parade will follow the traditional route beginning at 1000 N. University Ave. and proceeding South to 200 S. and then turning East to 200 E. From there it turns North to Center St. and then turns East and ends at 900 E.

Stadium of Fire

We are thrilled to announce iconic country music band Rascal Flatts will headline the Altabank Stadium of Fire on July 4th, 2025, at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah. The reunion tour performance—celebrating 25 years in music—will be their first at any Stadium of Fire. Guests will not only enjoy the music of Rascal Flatts at Stadium of Fire, but also the nation’s largest stadium fireworks and drone spectacle, a thrilling helicopter flyover and rousing tributes to military and civilian heroes.

Freedom’s Melody: A Celebration of American Composers

The annual Freedom’s Melody concert is a FREE outdoor concert with the American Fork Symphony in The Orchard at University Place. Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy this concert celebrating America’s rich musical heritage and composers. Featuring music from John Williams, John Philip Sousa, Irving Berlin, and more. This will be a concert that will be fun for the whole family. Save the date as you won’t want to miss this Celebration of American Composers.

Children’s Parade

Cuteness on parade
Nearly 2500 participants take to the streets to demonstrate their pride in America and its heritage. The Children’s Parade begins at 800 East Center Street, ending at 100 East Center Street at the state and county complex in Provo. Staging for the parade will be between 9:30-10:30am and runs on a first come, first-to-march basis. The parade begins at 10:30am. Children are arranged in different categories and accompanied by the Provo and Timpview High School marching bands. The Children’s Parade is not only a fun activity for the family, it also is a chance to educate the youth on freedom and respect. Participants have the chance to meet police officers and fire fighters, giving them a firsthand experience with these important and friendly public servants. The parade lasts almost 45 minutes and participants receive a treat at the end. No skateboards or motorized vehicles of any kind are permitted. If you arrive after 9am, please use the 100 North 800 East entrance.

Summer Beach Party

Come join us in celebrating the 13th anniversary of our Summer Beach Party! This fun-filled celebration will be packed with sand, sun, and seashells. Remember to wear sunscreen and bring your sunglasses and sandals for an evening of beach-time fun. We have a variety of activities planned for the whole family, including life-sized photo opportunities, animal meet and greets, beach ball drops, and live entertainment. And, of course, no party would be complete without delicious food! With 16 restaurants to choose from, The Shops at Riverwoods has something for everyone, ranging from sweet to savory. The fun doesn’t have to stop there, stick around for the dance party and boogie the night away from 7:30-8:30pm. The Summer Beach Party offers something for everyone, so we hope to see you there!
