Cuteness on parade
Nearly 2500 participants take to the streets to demonstrate their pride in America and its heritage. The Children’s Parade begins at 800 East Center Street, ending at 100 East Center Street at the state and county complex in Provo. Staging for the parade will be between 9:30-10:30am and runs on a first come, first-to-march basis. The parade begins at 10:30am. Children are arranged in different categories and accompanied by the Provo and Timpview High School marching bands. The Children’s Parade is not only a fun activity for the family, it also is a chance to educate the youth on freedom and respect. Participants have the chance to meet police officers and fire fighters, giving them a firsthand experience with these important and friendly public servants. The parade lasts almost 45 minutes and participants receive a treat at the end. No skateboards or motorized vehicles of any kind are permitted. If you arrive after 9am, please use the 100 North 800 East entrance.

Come join us in celebrating the 13th anniversary of our Summer Beach Party! This fun-filled celebration will be packed with sand, sun, and seashells. Remember to wear sunscreen and bring your sunglasses and sandals for an evening of beach-time fun. We have a variety of activities planned for the whole family, including life-sized photo opportunities, animal meet and greets, beach ball drops, and live entertainment. And, of course, no party would be complete without delicious food! With 16 restaurants to choose from, The Shops at Riverwoods has something for everyone, ranging from sweet to savory. The fun doesn’t have to stop there, stick around for the dance party and boogie the night away from 7:30-8:30pm. The Summer Beach Party offers something for everyone, so we hope to see you there!

Come celebrate America’s rich cultural heritage by attending the American Folk Ensemble’s high-energy show! Featuring a captivating mix of bluegrass music, clog dancing, and American folk dance styles, this show is sure to get your heart pumping and your feet moving. This year’s event includes activities for kids starting at 5:00 pm in The Orchard.

Men’s and Coed teams—get ready for an action-packed weekend of competition, camaraderie, and top-tier softball. With pool play leading into intense bracket battles, every team is guaranteed at least four games in a tournament designed for excitement. As an NCS Softball-sanctioned event, expect high-level play, great organization, and a weekend to remember. Bring your teammates, rally your fans, and compete for the championship under the summer skies!

This is a nondenominational event that unites our community’s faith groups to pray for America and her leaders. The keynote speaker this year will be Chad Lewis, BYU Associate Athletic Director. The program will also include a special musical number and an opportunity to hear from one of our finalists in the Freedom Festival youth speech contest .This program is by invitation only. We invite you to a night of honor for Fire Fighters, Police, Safety Officers, Paramedic First Responders, with our Guest Speaker, Mr. Terry Schow, VA Service officer and past Veterans Affairs of Military Affairs Director of Utah as the Featured Speaker then followed by the dignified retirement of worn and tattered Flags by Utah County Veterans Services. This event respectfully retires flags that have become so tattered and worn that they no longer properly represent the great sacrifices and values of the United States. According to the U.S. Flag Code, “the flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.” The Freedom Festival Flag Retirement Ceremony begins with Children of the Daughters of the Revolution posting the National Colors of Flags flown on U.S. soil since her birth. We will also be honored to hear from one of our Freedom Festival Youth Speakers.

The BYU Centennial Carillon Tower has stood as a symbol of freedom and spirit for 49 years. This year we present BYU Carillonneurs Don Cook and Josh Fenwick. Don has performed or organized this event since his appointment to the organ faculty in 1991. Josh, a student in BYU’s civil engineering program, has been playing the carillon for two years. He especially enjoys arranging and playing music from movie scores. Their program will have something for everyone! This is one of the more simple and leisurely events of the festival. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics to the shady lawns surrounding the tower to enjoy a free evening concert. The performer is visible on a large monitor, and visitors can enjoy a short demonstration of the practice keyboard after the performance.
