Flag Day Ceremony

Celebrating our 250th year of our Constitution and Historical National Colors.

America Runs on Dedication, Sacrifices and Everyday Heroes. The Constitution was written for every citizen that claims to be American. The United States of America’s Flag is the emblem of the values of Freedom, Liberty and Peace through strength. Our Flag represents to the world that the United States of America has their backs and we will always defend tyranny at all costs.

The one-hour program will feature Utah County Sheriff, Mike Smith recipient of the Utah Department of Utah, “American Legion Officer of the Year.” A presentation from one of our Freedom Festival Youth Speech Contest recipients, A short presentation from Utah State Sober Riders and a short Retirement of our National Colors.

Event Details

The one-hour program will feature Utah County Sheriff, Mike Smith recipient of the Utah Department of Utah, “American Legion Officer of the Year.” A presentation from one of our Freedom Festival Youth Speech Contest recipients, A short presentation from Utah State Sober Riders and a short Retirement of our National Colors.

You will feel the powerful story of the history of our National Flags through the display of all the flags that have flown on US soil since her beginning as a young country struggling to become a Nation of its own as an experimental development.

Be inspired with the Constitution of The United States and a beginning entrance of a requested 250 Sober Rider entrance of Flags.

Retiring Flags

According to the U.S. Flag Code, “the flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.”  Note: Randy D. Edwards “When we refer to “burning” the flag, we replace burn to “retire.” “Retiring” dignifies and respectfully consumes the flag by fire” Therefore; we do not burn the Flag, respectfully we “Retire the Flag.”
